  12. FTP-It! is a multi-threaded, bi-directional, concurrent file
  13. transfer application designed for OS/2 2.x and 3.x. It has
  14. been designed to provide the maximum benefit for both the
  15. beginner, as well as the expert FTP user.

  20. Some of the key features of FTP-It! are as follows:

  22. - Multiple windows, one for Local host and one for each remote FTP Site.
  23. - Multi-threaded operation.
  24.    Each host executes on it's own thread, allowing interaction
  25.    with all hosts simultaneously.
  26. - Concurrent file transfers in both directions(Put and Get).
  27. - Remote Host message log
  28. - Hot keys for most functions.
  29. - Settings notebook for each host system.
  30. - Byte count, time estimate and progress bar during file transfer.
  31. - RFC 959, 1123 and 1579 specifications of File Transfer Protocol (FTP).
  32. - Multiple file select for transfer.
  33. - Drag and Drop file transfer, delete and local file print.
  34. - Mixture of binary and ascii files allowed in transfer.
  35. - Fast Browse of text files received.
  36.    After receiving an ASCII file such as 00index.txt,
  37.    a browse window will allow you to view the file online.
  38. - Remote directory cache to improve performance of both the
  39.    local user and the FTP Servers by not having to perform
  40.    directory commands each time a user changes directories
  41.    to a directory previously viewed and unchanged by the user.

  73. 3. Open an OS/2 Command Window
  74. 4. CD the directory containing ftpit211.exe
  75. 5. Type  ftpit211 and press ENTER to extract installation files
  76. 6. Type  install  and press ENTER to begin installation
